After taking the oath at the Presidential Inauguration on January 20th, before 46TH USA President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris has officially become the first black, south Asian USA vice President.

Kamala Harris is of Indian Jamaican heritage. She initially ran for the Democratic nomination but was unsuccessful multiple times. She has finally won the race and chose to be Joe Biden’s VP. She describes herself as the fearless little fighter alongside Biden.

Kamala paid tribute to women around the world at the Presidential Inauguration. The 56 year old VP is a graduate from Howard University as a Law student.

In 2003, she became the first district attorney and the top prosecutor for San Francisco. During her two terms in the office, she gained a reputation as the Democratic party’s rising stars. She is the only black woman to ever be elected to the US senate.

The citizens of the United States are eager to see how Biden and Kamala will deal with USA’s laws and are looking forward to new and effective policies for the country.
