December marks a stupendous month for Tollywood. Two biggies Akhanda and Pushpa released in the month and the response has been fantabulous. Both these films emerged as smashing hits and collected huge revenues in their final run. Akhanda is a mass entertainer that is directed by Boyapati Sreenu and the film features Balakrishna, Pragya Jaiswal, Srikanth in the lead roles. The film produced by Miryala Ravindar Reddy released on December 2nd and the theatrical run of Akhanda is coming to an end. Allu Arjun tested his luck with Pushpa and the film was released on December 17th.

Sukumar is the director and Rashmika Mandanna is the leading lady. Fahadh Faasil, Sunil and Anasuya played other important roles in this mass entertainer and Mythri Movie Makers. Pushpa is still running in theatres and the film's run may come to an end by this weekend. Both Akhanda and Pushpa are heading for digital streaming. Amazon Prime spent a bomb on the digital streaming rights of Pushpa and the film will be available on the platform from January 7th. Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda will be available on Disney Plus Hotstar from January 14th during Sankranthi. Both the super hit films of December are all set for digital streaming in January.
