Sketch of attempted kidnapping suspect was released by concord police

A man who tried to force a 16 years old girl into his car on JULY 6th. His sketch was released by police on Thursday.

According to police the attempted kidnapping took place on July 6th at about 2.45p.m on Laguna Street near Ellis Street. The girl was walking alone when a man in car drove by, turned around and then parked. The driver got of the car and approached her, he spoke to her and forcefully tried to pull her into the car by grabbing her arms. The victim fought back by kicking and punching the suspect, resulting him to let her go.

As the girl ran way, the man drove off towards Detroit Avenue. The girl told her parents immediately after reaching home, and they informed the police.

The man was described as a Hispanic man, between 35-40 years, 5 Feet 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds. He had unshaven appearance and wore glasses along with a blue hat and buttoned up collard shirt. His vehicle was described as a 4-door gold or beige American made sedan, similar to a 2000 Buick LeSabra, police said.
