Deputies arrest San Francisco man for fake identity

Deputies arrested a San Francisco man in Sonoma County on Saturday night (Feb 18) after giving a fake name to sheriff’s deputies, officials said.

On Saturday night Andrew Rojas of San Francisco was riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle that was stopped by deputies.

When one of the deputies asked for his name, Rojas gave deputies a fake identification.

Rojas gave the deputies the same false name that he had given several years ago, when he was arrested on suspicion of alleged drug possession.

During the stop, deputies came to know that Rojas was on probation from Sonoma County for drug possession.

The sheriff’s officials said that Rojas was also on felony probation out of San Francisco for possession of a carjacked vehicle and leading police on a pursuit.

Before arresting him, deputies searched his bag and found drug paraphernalia and a teaser.

On Saturday the Sonoma Sheriff department took Facebook to post about the arrest of Andrew Rojas.

According to the post “Tonight Andrew Rojas a San Francisco resident thought that he would take a vacation to Sonoma County. As he was seated in a stopped vehicle, Rojas gave a fake name to the deputies.

Rojas forgot that he gave the same false name several years before when he was arrested for drug possession. Not only was he on probation out of Sonoma County for the drug possession, Rojas was also on Felony probation out of San Francisco for possession of a carjacked vehicle and leading police officers in pursuit. When officers searched his bag they found paraphernalia and a teaser. Needless to say he was arrested.
