US oldest park ranger, 94, back at work after attack!

The United States oldest park ranger, 94-year-old Betty Reid Soskin returned to work three weeks after she was attacked in a burglary in San Francisco, Bay area.

The fellow rangers and volunteers greeted her with cheers and hugs upon her return at the Rosie the Riveter World War II Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond.

Soskin has led tours at a historical park in the San Francisco Bay area for 10 years. She said that, she wanted to "get back in to routine life".

On June 27, she was attacked by a burglar, who stole a laptop, a mobile phone and some jewellery from her house.

The KNTV reported, "If I can get that coin back, I think I can forgive anything," she said.

The burglar also stole a coin that President Barack Obama had given to Ms Soskin when she introduced him at a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony at the White House.

Soskin's co-workers and members of the community raised more than $50,000 to help her. "It's so good to see you all and feel the support of the community," she said.
