Several Bay Area communities have celebrated 'Bike to Work Day', that encourages people to try commuting on two wheels.
The festival encourages and motivates people to commuting on two wheels and also celebrates those, who include it in their daily routine. “Most all of us bike to work every day. It’s my health plan,” Pedicab driver Larry Benson said.
Bicyclist Josema said that, “Some of the streets are a little tricky. The hills, man. You need to be doing your squats and your dead lifts constantly to get up those,”
"I ride to work every day here at the center and hopefully other people realize we have bike lockers here, we have bike pumps, fix it gear. So if you want to ride to the center to shop this is a good place to do it," said Elan Feldman, Westfield Valley Fair Mall.
At present, there are 400 energizer stations and more are being planned to be placed throughout commute routes across all nine Bay Area counties
