Shankar lands into one more legal trouble

Shankar happened to be one of the top directors of the country at one time. The top director tasted two back to back flops with I and 2.0. His next film Indian 2 is kept on hold due to the creative differences between Shankar and the producers Lyca Productions. The production house approached Madras High Court to resolve the issue and complete the shoot of Indian 2. Shankar is yet to respond about the issue. He announced that he will work with Ram Charan in his next and this film is a pan-Indian project. Shankar also announced a Hindi film which happens to be the remake of his super hit film Anniyan. Ranveer Singh will reprise the role of Vikram and Pen Studios are the producers.

Shankar landed into legal trouble once again after V Creations producer Ascar Ravichandran threatened to initiate legal proceedings against Shankar for remaking Anniyan in Hindi. Ravichandran says that he holds the remake rights of the film and Shankar has no authority to remake the film without his permission. Ravichandran issued a public letter to Shankar asking him to quit his plans. Shankar will now have to approached Ravichandran and acquire the remake rights of the film or offer a share in the profits of the Hindi version of Anniyan. The movie will start rolling from the second half of next year. Ranveer Singh is all excited about the remake.
